New Modern Concepts is close to completing a 4,800 head, two-barn site for Iowa Select Farms. The barn features a full gating package that allows for greater movement of the animals and less stress during the loading process. Fully adjustable enclosed loading chute makes for easy loading on the pigs and people. Rounded spears and soft edges on the gating keep the surfaces smooth to reduce the potential for scrapes during movement. The barns are curtain sided for the use of natural ventilation when the weather allows and LP White heaters and Brooders supply the heat for those colder days. The dish installment provides wireless internet connection which allows for real-time transfer of data to and from the site. Shower in/out facilities in the heated office allows for biosecurity while providing the caretakers comfort and ease of use.
