New Modern Concepts is putting the finishing touches on a unique finishing barn for a producer in NE Iowa. This is a tunnel ventilated building with water misters and solid insulated sides to conserve energy during winter months. To reduce stress on the pigs this large pen design features a special space for sorting and holding pigs prior to harvest and extra heaters provide warmth for new weaned pigs entering the barn. The heated load out area is sanitation-friendly and accommodates both a gooseneck and a semi-trailer. A stand-by generator covers power outages. You’ll also notice the custom colors – go Cyclones!
